About
Small Chicago is a live music web series that started out in a basement as a way to pass the time with talented acquaintances. Inspired by the Old Grey Whistle Test, an appreciation for Austin City Limits, and drinking during the week, the collaboration began between Todd Tue, co-owner of Milk Products Media, and audio mastermind (and basement owner) Justin North.
Season 2 starts a new venture for Small Chicago as we move out of the basement and into different studios throughout town. While the venue may change the philosophy remains the same- Keep it simple.
We get local bands, touring bands, bands we like, bands that we’re feuding with to perform 3 songs, use 2 cameras to film it, and it’s all done in 1 take. Boldt Collective takes stills and Milk Products shoots and edits the video, and there you have it. Live music and video, simple and good.
